Nominate books for World Book Night 2013

24/08/2012 by Ed Wood

With just one week left to nominate books, here's how to get involved with World Book Night 2013

World Book Night is a celebration of books and reading held each year on April 23 which sees 20,000 volunteers throughout the UK & Ireland gift specially chosen and printed books to encourage those in their communities who don’t regularly read to fall in love with reading.

To help choose next year's books they're asking everyone to nominate which books you most like to read, give and share. There's just one week left to nominate up to ten books you'd most like to see featured in World Book Night 2013. Thousands of nominations have already been received and you can see the current top 100 as it constantly evolves as well as getting more information here

Nominations close 31 August and the final top 100 will be used to inform the independent editorial committee's choice of next year's books.  So don't miss out on your chance to share your favourite books. Simply go to http://www.worldbooknight.org/ and login or register then pick 'nominate books' under the 'books' tab and type your favourite book by title in to the search box.

The World Book Night 2013 list will be announced in late October, along with application to be a giver opening.
