Woman in Black to return
A sequel to the smash-hit film adaptation of Susan Hill's The Woman in Black is in the works
Legendary British production label Hammer is to return to Eel Marsh House with a sequel to The Woman in Black, this January's adaptation of Susan Hill's classic horror novel.
The film will be based on an original story by Hill, and will be called Woman in Black: Angels of Death. Hammer president and ceo SImon Noakes described it as "a wonderful new tale every bit as atmospheric and terrifying as its predecessor".
Industry mag Hollywood Reporter has revealed that the new film will pick up the story, about a young lawyer encountering a ghost in the spooky Eel Marsh House, 40 years later as a couple take a trip to the haunted manor.
The most successful British horror film of the past 20 years, The Woman in Black starred Daniel Radcliff in his first big post-Harry Potter role, although it's not known if he will star in the sequel.
The Woman in Black by Susan Hill is published by VIntage.
