The fantastic Linwood Barclay is back, with another seat of your pants thriller.

The Accident features Glen Barber, an ordinary guy working in the construction business and trying to get by in recession-hit Connecticut. 

As he struggles to get over a mysterious fire in a building he is working on, his wife Sheila indicates that she has a plan of her own to get them out of their financial jam. When she ends up dead in a drunk-driving accident, Glen is pulled deeper into the world of the “get rich quick” schemes of his neighbours as he tries to discover what really happened.

Linwood Barclay is the master of the contemporary thriller and The Accident is a terrific page-turner.
