Unputdownable! Full to the brim with tension and stomach-churning fear, this tale of an apocalyptic event and its impact on 16-year-old Alex is gritty and terrifying, just as good for adults as teenagers. Alex and her companions battle to survive, scavenging for food and evading those people who have turned cannibal; trusting their fellow humans is not an option. Bick drip-feeds detail over the course of the chapters, leaving you constantly on the edge of your seat and wanting more. Never is this more true than at the end of the book, when she presents
a tantalising cliffhanger in the knowledge that we will have to wait until autumn 2012 for our next fix. Bring it on!
