The Fish That Ate the Whale charts the true story of America’s banana mogul Samuel Zemurray.

Zemurray’s story is an inspiring one. From humble beginnings as a young, hard-working immigrant he rose to become one of the richest and most powerful men in the world. Although at first his subject may seem a little obscure – few of us are likely to have heard of Zemurray -  Rich Cohen’s book is both absorbing and fascinating. He has an eye for even the smallest detail and his research is meticulous, backed up by a full bibliography complete with detailed notes. This is a real feel-good story, a celebration of how it is possible to achieve success though hard work, tenacity and sheer determination.
