A perfect kids book! For any fans of Roald Dahl, David Walliams and Andy Stanton out there, this is a must read!

Fizzlebert Stump loves his life at the circus. He has a clown for a mum, a strongman for a dad and a lion to stick his head into at every show… what more could a boy want? But Fizzlebert wants friends his age. However, all he has is his crazy parents and his teachers, (who also work at the circus, so aren’t very good at teaching much!).

Soon, he finds a library book on the floor of the circus that needs to be handed back in by tomorrow. Fizzlebert embarks on a mission to give it back to its library, and gets a library card. But suddenly, he is kidnapped by two evil pensioners! How can he escape? He becomes trapped cleaning the monstrous mess of the pensioners' house - will he ever escape?

I really loved this book, even though it was not the kind of book I normally read. I like Roald Dahl’s books and found this like a modern version. It's captivating for any reader and it’s so funny too! I found myself laughing a lot at the author's hilarious commentary, and at Fizzlebert’s funny antics. I would definitely recommend this - and the illustrations are awesome.
