Welcome to the weird and wonderful world of the Whippet Hotel.

With its strange and unusual rooms, ducks living on the roof and a madcap billionaire inventor for an owner it is like nowhere you have seen before.  Ten-year-old Leo has lived at the hotel since the death of his mother and thinks he knows it better than anyone else. However, when a mysterious box appears in the Duck elevator one day, Leo discovers the Whippet contains more secrets than even he believed possible. With the aid of only one friend (and some ducks) Leo has two days to find another three of the mysterious boxes and save the Whippet from disaster.

Floors is a madcap adventure from start to finish and can be raced through in one sitting. With an intriguing and eccentric cast of characters, a setting where rooms can do some of the strangest things and more plot twists and turns than a roller-coaster, there is much to delight readers in the first story of Patrick Carman’s new fantasy adventure series.
