Before coming back from the dead, Janelle Tenner seemed just like any other girl.

Though beneath the surface, Janelle spends her days caring for her younger brother and dealing with the neglect of a bipolar mother and a workaholic FBI agent father. When she is hit by a truck that came out of nowhere at 80mph, there really is no feasible way she should be alive. But this is just what happens, and is only the first of many unexplainable and terrifying occurrences that punctuate this punchy, fast-paced novel, leaving Janelle frightened, confused and in desperate need for answers.

Upon opening her eyes she sees the mysterious stoner Ben standing over her and, determined to find out the connection between her resurrection and Ben, Janelle is thrust into a tangled web of intrigue. Along with a series of deaths involving horrific radiation burns and a mysterious countdown to who knows what, Janelle must find out what it is that connects each of these suspicious circumstances before the timer runs out. Who can she trust when the very foundations she has built her life upon have been rocked to their very core? Elizabeth Norris has seamlessly blended the genres of dystopia, apocalypse, family issues and science-fiction to create an intense, action packed thriller full of alien conspiracies, twisted loyalties and a gut-wrenching race against the clock.
