We all know Mr Wolf and the things he can get up to.

In Debi Gliori’s version he is a lovely, primping, gardening and cake-eating soul that is teased by his three little pig neighbours.  As we work through the hours of the day we meet all the characters from Mother Goose going about their business - not always in the way we would expect - until at last we meet them all at the surprise party at Mr Wolf’s house. As usual Gliori’s illustrations are a delight, full of detail and surprises. There are so many things on each page to discover, share, count and laugh at. This is not a book for teaching the time or the bad things wolves can get up to, it is just a pleasure from cover to cover.
